1. Introduction
Ascyna (the "Service") is a personal wellness and community application published under the
Your Ascendancy name and operated by Mythras Projects ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to handling your personal
information responsibly and transparently. This Privacy Policy describes the information we
collect, how it is used and shared, and the rights and choices available to you. By creating an
account or using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
2. Eligibility
The Service is intended solely for adults. You must be at least 18 years of age
to create an account or use the Service. The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that an account
belongs to a person under 18, we will close the account and delete its data.
The Service is currently offered as a private, invitation-only alpha. Access is
limited to approved testers.
3. Information You Provide
- Account and profile information: your email address (used for
authentication) and any display name, biography, or profile details you choose to add.
- Health and fitness information: measurements and activity you record or
sync, such as body weight, hydration, steps, sleep, resting heart rate, distance, calories,
active minutes, cardio-fitness estimates, and workout logs.
- Nutrition information: meals, foods, recipes, nutritional targets, and
beverage recipes you log.
- Personal records: journal entries, moods, habits and their history, and
reading activity you choose to record.
- Social content: messages you send within the Service (direct, group,
coaching, and channel conversations), posts, reactions, community memberships, and images you
upload.
- Photos: images you attach to meals, beverages, your profile, or other
content.
4. Connected Services (Optional)
You may choose to connect third-party services to your account. All integrations are disabled
by default and are controlled by you in Settings:
- Fitness platforms (Google Health / Fitbit): if connected, fitness metrics
are synced into your account on your behalf.
- Spotify: if connected and enabled, your currently-playing track may be
displayed to other users as a presence status.
- Content lookups: certain features query external catalogs — for example,
food and barcode searches, grocery price lookups for a store area you select, GIF searches,
and public book catalogs. These requests carry your search terms but do not include your
identity.
5. Notifications, Device Storage and Service Logs
- Push notifications (optional): if you turn notifications on, we store the
push subscription your browser issues (an endpoint address and encryption keys, plus your
browser's user-agent string and the address the app was opened from) so we can deliver them.
Notifications are delivered through your browser's push service — on Android, Google Firebase
Cloud Messaging — which therefore handles the notification content. You can hide message text
from notifications in Settings, and signing out removes this device's subscription.
- On your device: the app keeps a working copy of your information in your
browser's storage so it works offline. "Reset this device" in Settings removes that copy and
signs you out; your account and its cloud copy remain until the account is deleted.
- Service and security logs: our hosting and authentication providers record
technical request information (such as IP address, browser type, the page or service
requested, and sign-in events) to operate and secure the Service, and our hosting provider
produces cookie-free, aggregate traffic statistics. We do not use advertising or
cross-site tracking cookies.
6. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and its features.
- To synchronize your information across your devices.
- To provide the social and community features you choose to participate in.
- To secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your
information for third-party advertising.
7. How Information Is Shared
- With other users: only the content and status you choose to share — such as
your profile, the messages you send, community posts, and any presence features you enable.
- Service providers: we use established infrastructure providers to deliver
the Service (including hosting, authentication, data storage, and content delivery). These
providers process information solely on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information where required by law or to
protect the rights, safety, or integrity of the Service and its users.
8. Data Retention and Security
- Your information is protected by per-user access controls: only you — and, for content you
share, the people you share it with — can access your data.
- Information is encrypted in transit.
- Chat messages are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
- Other information you record is retained until you delete it or your account is removed.
- No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure; we apply
reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
9. Your Rights and Choices
- You may view, edit, and delete your information within the Service at any time.
- You may disconnect any connected third-party service in Settings.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data — including
complete account deletion — by contacting us at the address below. We honor applicable
data-protection rights in your jurisdiction.
- For account and data deletion, see our
Account & Data Deletion page, which describes the
request process and what is removed.
10. Health and Wellness Data
Health and fitness information is sensitive, and we treat it accordingly. It is used only to
provide the Service's tracking and guidance features to you. It is never sold and never shared
with advertisers. Content and guidance within the Service are informational only and do
not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified
health professional before making health decisions.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the Service evolves. Material changes will be
reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and, where appropriate, communicated within the
Service. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised
policy.
